Admissions into Nursery
Class September 2027

We warmly welcome applications for children due to start Nursery in September 2027.

Choosing the right school for your child is an important decision and we are delighted that you are considering St John's Primary Academy. We are proud to offer a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is valued, supported and encouraged to flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

Our next open morning is Saturday 10th of October 10am - 11:30am where our early years team will be on hand to show you around our provision and answer any questions you may have.

Nursery Admissions

Nursery September 2027 places are available for children who turn 3 between 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027.

On 7th January 2027 the online application process will open. The closing date for applications is 4th March 2027. Applications received after this date will be considered in line with the ‘late application' process.

On 6th May 2027, offers of Nursery places will be emailed to those who have been successful, emails are sent throughout the day and this process will be completed by 3.25pm.

Those who have not been successful will not have received an email or letter we therefore strongly recommend you have an alternative setting application in place otherwise you are at risk of not having a nursery place for your child. 

We reserve the right to cancel an application if you child’s age is not applicable for a Nursery place. Details will be provided of our Little Eagles pre school, however places are subject to availability and a registration form must be completed.

There is no appeals process for Nursery admissions and the places will be allocated using our Nursery admissions criteria, which can be found here in our admissions policy.

Parents must make a separate application for admission to Reception at the appropriate time.

Please be aware that St John’s Primary Academy are not in a position to intervene in disputes between parents over Nursery applications and will request that these are resolved privately. If possible, you should liaise with your child’s other parent if you have any views about your child’s admission to Nursery.
