Cashless Information

From 1st March St John's will operate an almost completely cashless system.

From this date all large amounts of payments for expenditure such as visits,Eagles bookings and meals will only be accepted using one of the following methods.

1. Debit or Credit Card payments via the online Agora system. If you do not have an account a password and login details has been sent home with a copy of this information and you should of received one.  If not please contact us. Further details of how to setup a new account can be found on our website here....

2. Cash payments can be made at the Post Office or PayPoint outlets using the barcodes that have been sent home with your child. The barcodes can be used as many times as you need, so it is important to keep the barcodes safe (sepreate ones are required for dinner money or Eagles transactions)

PLease note that cash for small cost items like book bags, break sales and water bottles will still be accepted.

This move to a cashless system has many benefits and brings our academy in line with up to date business methods of payments. Parents will also hopefully appreciate being able to easily keep more detailed accounts of their payments.

It is very important that academies have efficient and accurate records of receiving payments and we believe that this move will help us achieve this goal.

We dodged, dipped and dived to victory!

We would like to thank all schools who attended the recent Dodgeball tournament for a fun, enjoyable and competitive competition.  Our St John's team were prepared and certainly ready for action!

The tournament involved five local Primary Schools comprising of St John's, Cheslyn Hay, Havergal and Featherstone who all competed against each other playing four games each.

The results were then collated and St John's were successful in winning all of their games, resulting in them winning the competition.

Dinnertime in the Snow with Friends!

Today's dinnertime was a little bit different and the children enjoyed the opportunity to play in the snow with their friends and teachers.

The children had an amazing time building snowmen, diving in the snow and even making a snow tunnel.

Children In Need Cake Sale

Today hundreds of children have kindly bought in cakes to raise funds for Children In Need. There are a wide and varied range of cakes with many being really creative with some looking too good to eat!

Thank you to all the parents and children supporting this and hopefully some of the AMAZING cakes will be bought home for you to share :)

Sporting Successes

Year 5/6 boys football were runners up at the District final. They competed strongly and only conceded one goal throughout the tournament.

Year 5/6 girls won the the District final and going on to qualify for the County final which will be held at St George's Park, Burton. 

All the girls battled throughout the tournament winning every match, scoring 12 goals and only conceding one.

The girls are really looking forward to the County finals especially as they will experience playing at Burton, the home of all the England football squads.

Year 3/4 boys football squad also performed extremely well in their local
tournament.  

They also won every match, scoring 10 goals and only conceding one.

Wilderness Adventures

59 Year 6 pupils took up the opportunity to discover more about the great outdoors by attending the first ever trip to the 'Wilderness Academy'
The journey started on Wednesday morning travelling by coach to the Wilderness and spent three days and two nights in this unique experience.

During their stay all the children took part in various activities throughout the days and evenings such as; animal tracking, fire lighting, shelter building, 4.2 mile hike, night walks plus much more. This all obviously was after the children put up their own tents!

It's the first time St John's has visited the 'Wilderness Academy' and all the children (and staff) thoroughly enjoyed the experience. 

Once again the pupils were a credit to the school and embraced the opportunity and conducted themselves admirably.
