Year 3 and 4 Boys Cruise To Victory In a Stunning Performance

Boys from year 3 and 4 set sail in a football tournament held at Glenthorne on Wednesday 9th November.  All the boys were certainly itching to play in a competitive tournament and pit their wits against other local schools.

Our first fixture saw us come out the traps quickly, scoring five goals!  This set the standard of performance and the boys demonstrated a consistent magnificent display beating all 4 teams while not conceding a goal.

In addition to this, St John's displayed superb sportsmanship, great respect for the game and their opponents throughout the tournament.

Support from the parents was lovely and all seemed to thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere, performance and smiles from their children.

We must make a special mention about Elliott in year 3 who showed great sportsmanship after informing the referee that awarded a goal in favor of St John's that in fact the ball never crossed the line and did not go in. When Elliot was asked why did you tell the referee the ball didn't cross the line he replied "because it didn't, and if he had given the goal that would not of been fair"
Well done Elliott and well done lads!!!!

Well, wow.... what a performance from all, absolutely sensational
